NOW ACCEPTING TOPIC PROPOSALS
SUBMISSION DEADLINE JANUARY 4, 2026 11:59 PM EST
We are excited to announce the opening of our request for proposal process, through which you can submit a topic you would like to present at the PI Summit 2026 on May 18 - 21. The Summit will be held at the Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, The Depot, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Proposals should be designed for:
- 35-40 minute sessions allowing for presenting original work or informatics education
- Typically done as PowerPoint lectures
- Other formats and/or educational modalities are acceptable and encouraged
- The learning approach should be described in the proposal
General Timeline:
- 11/6/2025 - Request for Proposals sent out to API membership through listserv
- 1/4/2026 - Submission deadline 11:59 PM Eastern
- Week of 1/5/2026 - Review process begins
- Week of 2/2/2026 - Notifications sent out to submitters

Suggested Topic Themes of Interest:

We highly encourage trainees and junior faculty at the beginning of their careers to submit proposals for both the main plenaries, for which we are currently accepting submissions, and for poster and abstract submissions, which will open later this year.
