API’s 2026 fall meeting celebrates its 10th year and a new name! "Inside the Digital Lab" (IDL) (f/k/a Digital Pathology-AI (DP-AI) Workshop) offers a "look under the hood" at host institutions that have successfully adapted and implemented the latest technologies, AI, and workflow approaches in creative ways. IDL is a roving meeting that features on-site laboratory tours in tandem with site-relevant, tailor-made programming not replicated elsewhere.
We are excited to announce this year’s meeting will feature Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor, Michigan. IDL will showcase Michigan Medicine and its successful journey to achieve comprehensive digital workflow for primary diagnosis in Anatomic Pathology. This hands-on learning experience includes sandbox opportunities with partnering vendors as well as presentations on comparative use cases that help to formulate innovative idea exchanges and uncover possibilities for health systems across the world.

- Take the controls. Sit down at a live digital workstation with full sign-out capability. Navigate whole-slide images and zoom from tissue overview down to cellular detail, the same way Michigan pathologists work every day.
