Submit a Topic Proposal

Dear API Members,

We are excited to announce that we are launching a request for proposal process by which you can submit a topic you might like to present for the VIRTUAL PI Summit from May 5 - 7, 2021.  

To submit a topic proposal click here and complete the required information by November 30th, 2020:

Proposals should designed be for:

  • 30 minute sessions presenting original work or informatics education followed by 5-10 minutes of Q&A
  • Presentations will be done as Powerpoint/Google slide shows on Zoom (presenters should have a webcam/camera and microphone capabilities)
  • Other formats and/or educational modalities are acceptable and encouraged if amenable to virtual presentation (i.e., virtual demonstrations, virtual lab tours, etc.)
  • The learning approach should be described in the proposal
  • Topics will only be accepted from those with paid, current API memberships

A list of topics of interest to the conference planning committee and the API membership at large is below. This is provided to stimulate your ideas, and is not meant to be exclusive.

General Timeline:

10/19/20 - Request for Topic Proposals sent out to API membership

11/30/20 - Submission due date

12/1/20 - Review process for proposal submissions by the review team

1/15/21 - Final selections and notification to the submitters
