Submit a Topic Proposal

Dear API Members,

We are excited to announce that we are launching a request for proposal process by which you can submit a topic you might like to present for the PI Summit in Pittsburgh, May 18-21. The summit will be held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, 1000 Ft. Duquesne Blvd. Pittsburgh, PA , 15222 US.  Please contact Nova Marie Smith for more information as needed at: nova.smith@pathologyinformatics.org

To submit a topic proposal click here and complete the required information by September 30th, 2019:

Proposals should designed be for:

  • 35-40 minutes sessions presenting original work or informatics education
  • Typically done as PowerPoint lectures
  • Other formats and/or educational modalities are acceptable and encouraged
  • The learning approach should be described in the proposal
  • Topics will only be accepted for those with paid, current API memberships

A list of topics of interest to the conference planning committee and the API membership at large is below. This is provided to stimulate your ideas, and is not meant to be exclusive.

General Timeline:

8/15/19 - Request for Proposals sent out to API membership through listserv

9/30/19 - RFP due date

10/1/19 - Review process for proposal requests by RFP review team

11/1/19 - Final selections and notification to the submitters
