Assistant or Associate Professor Division of Informatics University of Alabama at Birmingham

The Department of Pathology, at the University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking an outstanding candidate (MD, MD/PhD or PhD) for a tenure-earning Assistant/Associate Professor position. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will join the Division of Informatics in the Department of Pathology. This individual will be expected to develop a research program in informatics, genomics medicine, computational biology, image analysis or bioinformatics and to participate in informatics training initiatives. UAB has integrated graduate programs across multiple disciplines which is also reflected in multidisciplinary centers and opportunities for joint appointments, for example, in the school of engineering. There is a particular interest in applications attuned to the integrative challenges of systems-level analysis and the personalization of medicine.
