New API Website

The Association for Pathology Informatics Governing Council and staff are excited to announce that we will soon be launching a new combined web site that merges the currently separate Web sites for the Association for Pathology Informatics = PathologyInformatics.ORG and the Pathology Informatics Summit = PathologyInformatics.COM. Both URLs will remain active.

The Members-Only area of the new Web site will include exclusive access to past PI Summit recordings, the API member directory, and access to other member-only content.

New Listserv: The new Web site will have an integrated member Listserv as well as a member directory, job boards, member forums and much more. We will make an announcement via the current listserv (api@lists.ucdenver.edu) when the site goes live.

Membership Renewal: In the coming weeks members can expect the following communications:

  1. Renewed Members: Members whose membership is current through June 30, 2018 will receive a “Welcome” message that will include their new username and password to access the new site
  2. Members Due to Renew Membership: Members whose membership was active for the periods between July 1, 2015 and June 30, 2017, will be sent a renewal notice with an attached invoice inviting them to renew their membership through the new portal
  3. “Lapsed” Memberships: Members whose membership has lapsed prior to June 30, 2015 were added as contacts and are considered dropped and will be contacted via a broadcast message through the new system providing them with the option to rejoin API

The current API listserv will close permanently on October 31, 2017. Anyone who has not renewed or rejoined API at that time will no longer have access to participate on the API listserv nor will they have access to the members’ area of the new API web site.

If you have questions regarding the status of your membership, please feel free to contact Beth Gibson at bethgibs@med.umich.edu or Nova Smith at nms67@pitt.edu.
